PERUVIAN CULINARY WORKSHOP

Le Piment Rouge hosted the Peruvian Culinary Workshop with the participation of the two famous Peruvian chefs Bruno Santa Cruz Executive Chef of Swissotel Istanbul and Jean Carlo Milla Ein collaboration with the Embassy of Peru in Ankara.

TWO-MICHELIN STAR CHEF AT LE PIMENT ROUGE

Christoph Bob presented a lecture at THM while he was in Ankara for Italian Culinary Days, organized by the Ankara Hilton and the Embassy of Italy.

THAI FOOD FESTIVAL

As part of its National Day celebrations, the Embassy of Thailand in Ankara organized a special workshop and luncheon at Le Piment Rouge with two chefs from Thailand.

Ankara Gastronomy Federation recognized the contributions made by the Bilkent University Department of Tourism and Hotel Management’s practice restaurant Le Piment Rouge by awarding it a plaque. 

Bilkent Day

April 3 is the anniversary of the birth of Bilkent University’s beloved founder, Prof. İhsan Doğramacı. Each year, Bilkent celebrates Prof. Doğramacı’s birthday as Bilkent Day, honoring his memory with the deepest respect and affection. We celebrate Bilkent Day with a luncheon at our Le Piment Rouge restaurant every year. 

TOURISM WEEK

In connection with national Tourism Week, which takes place April 15-22 every year, Bilkent THM hosts a number of events.  Along with lectures and conferences, a meeting of representatives from both the public and private spheres with an interest in or authority over the tourism sector traditionally takes place at Le Piment Rouge

“Le Piment Rouge is at Bilkent Tourism Forum.”

Department of Tourism and Hotel Management hosted the eighth Bilkent Tourism Forum, bringing together representatives of key public and private tourism industry organizations and higher education institutions. The theme of the forum, which took place at the Bilkent Hotel and Conference Center, was “Gastronomy Tourism – 5N1K,”. One of the highlights of the event was the contribution of Le Piment Rouge.

Youth Academy

The future is at Le Piment Rouge. As part of the Bilkent University’s Youth Academy program, future leaders find the opportunity to express their culinary side by preparing various foods in a professional kitchen at Le Piment Rouge.

Bilkent THM recognizes excellence. Since 1993, the department has held an annual awards ceremony to recognize and reward our students based on their achievements in the department and during their internships. To honor our sponsors, we celebrate this day with a feast at Le Piment Rouge before the ceremony.

Chaîne des Rôtisseurs

Le Piment Rouge is an award winner. Le Piment Rouge received a number of awards for its contributions in hosting special events including the international gastronomic organisation Confrerie de la Chaîne des Rôtisseurs, an annual competition for young chefs.
