Arzu Sibel İkinci
İkinci is an accomplished instructor and a board member of the Bilkent Learning and Development Center, bringing nearly three decades of experience in higher education and curriculum development, preceded by an additional decade in institutional training. She holds a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Bilkent University and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Hacettepe University, leveraging a distinctive cross-disciplinary approach in her work. As a faculty member she designs, teaches, and evaluates specialized courses for both university students and employees of Bilkent Holding. She also represents the university in key international settings, including the Erasmus Instructor Exchange, EU-funded projects, and international conferences.
Her core professional achievements lie at the intersection of education, technology, and innovation. She is serving as the Training Coordinator and Researcher for HORIZON Europe project CULTURATI (€3.1 million), having previously led Bilkent University’s involvement in the EU-funded TEPEK project. She is a co-inventor on two patented gamified learning systems, in Türkiye a short patent and a U.S. patent for customized cultural heritage tours, a testament to her commitment to merging technology and education. Her expertise extends into corporate training, where she founded and directed the Continuous Education and Documentation Department at Belko Holding and Bayındır Holding. Academically, she has authored case studies and teaching guides on the knowledge economy for Turkish SMEs. She examined “Salient Components of MOOCs in Scientific Rhetoric”.
İkinci teaches across diverse domains, including Statistics, Analytical Thinking, Web Design and Programming, Business Computer Applications, F&B and Front Office Management Applications. Ikinci enjoys following developments in art and science that inspire her professional and personal life.
